- Paddy Straw Trays
Our range of standard and custom-made trays is ideal for fresh produce. Recyclable (kerbside), Compostable (certified to AS 5810 AU Home Compostable) and approved for direct food contact (Regulation EC No. 1935/2004). Trays can be sealed with lidding film (standard and compostable versions available) and are compatible with a select range of Wedderburn Tray Sealers. Combine with our PE film for a fully sustainable wrapping solution.

Recyclable and certified Australian Home Compostable (AS 5810) paddy straw trays are made from rice paddy waste – a truly renewable resource. Rice paddy waste is traditionally burnt to clear rice fields after the harvest. The burning releases significant air pollutants; emissions include PM2.5, CO2, CH4, and BC, which impact air quality and contribute to climate change. By converting rice paddy waste into Paddy Straw Trays, it improves air quality and creates an additional source of income for farmers selling raw materials.
